At some point in their life or another, almost everyone has said that they wanted to become a lawyer. Learn how you can become a lawyer through distance learning law schools and online law degree programs without ever setting foot in a law school.

At some point in their life or another, almost everyone has said that they wanted to become a lawyer. Many people dreamed of getting into this profession because of the high income and the prestige. Others were truly passionate about the profession and desired to be an attorney because they wanted to fight for people's rights.

The people who were looking at becoming an attorney for the wrong reasons never really spent time wondering how to become a lawyer because they thought it was going to be easy. Once they found out that it's a long and complicated process, they changed their mind. The serious people were the ones who really wanted to know how to become a lawyer, and were willing to go through every step of the process.

If you're in college and don't already know how to become a lawyer, chances are that you aren't going to become one. Why? The process needs to start before you have even entered college, while you are in high school. Getting into an ABA law school after you graduate from college is tough, and only those who earned consistently good grades throughout high school and college will make it in.

Beyond good grades, a person has to pass a law school admission test (LSAT) in order to be admitted into law school. Earning a mediocre score will stop you from entering the best schools, but scoring too low will exclude you from going to law school altogether. Even after the LSAT, one needs to be approved for entrance by a school's admissions committee. Naturally, they also have to be able to afford the high tuition or get a student loan to cover it.

The process of how to become a lawyer isn't easy, but it is possible for those willing to do whatever it takes. If one has an above average educational record, is good with test taking and is able to afford the cost, then they can complete the traditional process of how to become a lawyer. It is a long, expensive and tough road, but those committed to putting in the effort can do it. Those who weren't as studious can read the law school bible... and beome a lawyer for less.
